There are many benefits to hiring a professional photographer to photograph the property. I am having a Virtual Tour done for the home - why do I also need to hire a professional photographer?
While most Virtual Tours can be another effective tool to showcase the home, potential buyers still need to sort through the hundreds of listings on the MLS to find your listing before even getting to your Virtual Tour. Having an excellent photographs of your home is key to get the potential buyer's attention to view your listing - and your Virtual Tour!
Another thing to note is that most Virtual Tour companies are on a very tight timeline to complete the job, so they rarely spend the time needed to properly stage the shot, nor do they spend much time at all post-processing the photographs to get the picture to the highest possible quality.
I'm a homeowner. Can I use these services as well?
Our services are for both Real Estate professionals as well as homeowners. In fact, take a look at the courtesy photographs taken for you by your agent. If they are of poor quality and don't really show your home's true potential, then you should take action and ask your agent to have your home professionally photographed. It should take your agent less than 10 minutes to update your listing - plus, your agent should be happy to make the changes since the better photos will increase the chances of attracting a potential buyer for your home.
If your going FSBO, having your home professionally photographed should be on the top of your list of things to do when preparing your listing! Not only will you have attractive pictures for the internet, but you will also have high resolution photographs that you can use for your print material!
What is HDR? How does this make for better quality photos? Why would I want to use this option?
HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. In its simplest term, it allows you to reveal highlights and shadow details in an image created from multiple exposures. For the purposes of Real Estate Photograhy, this is a method in which both the interior and the exterior view out the window is properly exposed. This is accomplished by taking multiple exposures at the time of the shoot, then, special software is used to merge these images to produce a High Dynamic Range image which shows an amazing amount of detail, tonal depth and light range. For premium, high value homes, this method can really enhance the listing and set it apart from other listings when potential buyers are searching the MLS.
